• To manage effectively the Convention Center and the Puerto Rico Coliseum operations, ensuring that high quality services are offered.
• To revitalize the Isla Grande area through the development of the Convention District.
• To foster the creation of new jobs and business opportunities.
• To offer a wider variety of events, shows and activities in the Convention Center, the Puerto Rico Coliseum and other District’s and Authorithy’s facilities.
• To increase Puerto Rico’s participation in the convention market at the international level.
• To carry out the Authority’s functions in an agile and efficient way, practicing the project management principles, and acting as a facilitator in alliance with the private sector.

The Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority plans the development of the following projects:

• 580,000 sq. ft. Convention Center
• 563 residential units
• 1,770 hotel rooms
• 718,000 sq. ft. space for offices
• 245,000 sq. ft. for commercial use
• 153,000 sq. ft. for a museum or civic activities area
• 8,000 parking lots
• 13-acre area for parks and fountains
