The Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority is a public corporation created by Law No. 142 of October 4, 2001, as amended by Law No. 185 of August 3, 2004. The Authority is in charge of developing, managing and monitoring, among others, the new District’s facilities, which include the modern Convention Center and the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, José Miguel Agrelot, as well as the construction of offices, commercial and residential areas.
Mission To develop and operate the Convention District, the Convention Center, the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, and other multiple use projects to position Puerto Rico as a world-class business, tourism and entertainment destination that will act as a drawing force for its economic development.
Vision To develop a strong and sustainable economy for Puerto Rico through the convention, tourism and entertainment industry, as well as the urban re-development of San Juan.
